Steve Zaleznick
Chief Executive Officer and President

Steve has over twenty-five years of experience in the development and management of products and services for the elder population. Prior to Longevity Alliance, Steve was the founding President and CEO of AARP Services, Inc. At AARP Services he was responsible for creating and developing partnerships with companies including The Hartford, United HealthCare, New York Life, MetLife and Scudder. Previously, Steve was General Counsel of AARP. Steve has a BA in economics from Brown University and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Horace Deets
Chairman of the Board

Horace served as Executive Director of AARP from 1988 to 2001 and designed and implemented a major expansion in the products and services offered to AARP members. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Help Age International, is a Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Age Lab and a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford University’s Institute of Ageing, and serves on the Board of Posit Science Corporation.

Darren Gruendel
Chief Operations Officer

Darren Gruendel is responsible for the operations of the company. His executive experience includes senior operations and marketing positions in the hospitality and construction services industries as well as both operations and staff tours as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps. Darren graduated from Yale University and has an MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management.
